Classic Leather RFID Wallet for Men

I would be very glad to receive this wallet as a gift! The leather is marvelous and the stitching and crafting are top notch.
This wallet has a ton of storage. It is designed as a bi-fold with a flip-up flap on the left side. Both right and left sides of the wallet have room for 4 cards with a hidden pocket behind the card slots. There is a flip-up flap that has a windowed pocket on either side, so you have room for two ID cards. The cash pocket has a divider so you can keep two different currencies separated. This would be handy when traveling overseas.
The construction of the wallet is excellent. The leather has a wonderful smell and the feel of luxury and quality. You could give this wallet as a gift and the recipient would be very happy.
He was concerned about the color as seen online, but this is a deep, rich brown and very obviously well-made and well thought out. I noticed right away that the card slots are (to my envy) more roomy than the ones in my wallet, and there are two folding bill slots. (What a genius move to separate your larger bills from the ones you flash when saying, “Sorry, I only carry a couple dollars with me.”)
There are two clear pockets side by side with openings for easy removal, one of course for your ID or driver’s license. My husband is going to use the other for his emergency medical card. That way, the future imaginary EMTs I am picturing will find it easily after cutting his pants off and will quickly learn his blood type, health conditions, medications, and favorite ’80s band (did you know those emergency medical cards can be customized?).
Bottom line: Super picky husband recommends.
The wallet this is replacing has been with me since 1998. It too, was a leather wallet, and while I probably could have gotten another 10-20 years out of it, it was behind the times. I now have cards with RFID chips, so I’ve been looking for something that would provide protection without being an obvious and uncomfortable Faraday cage.
This is leather wallet that is soft to the touch, a little taller than the one it is replacing, with more than enough pockets to hold what I need it too on a daily basis. It also will protect my tap-to-pay cards from walk-by scraping.
I haven’t made my mind up on the little ID flap. On the one hand, it’s almost convenient. It would be more convenient if both sides of my ID could be seen without removing it. On the other hand, it has two pockets, so I can put my driver’s license on one side and my insurance card on the other. On the third hand, it’s a flap. I’m not fond of flappy wallets. If I wanted that I’d keep my various credentials in one of those little booklets instead of a wallet.
I’m interested to see how this wallet breaks in. The crazy horse leather sounds like it’ll have more of a payoff patina than my previous wallet which simply grew a bit worn looking at the fold.
Very nice texture.
I have a 20 year old leather wallet from Dockers that this is replacing. This is very similar in features, card slots, and construction but it did not have RFID blocking. The leather is soft and seems to be of good quality and has that new leather smell. It comes in a gift box in case you’re thinking of giving it as a gift. There is a card that specifically states that the RFID blocking works at 13.56MHz and is effective to block signal from “ID Card, Driver License, Credit/Debit Card, Passport. It doesn’t work for cards that work at the 125KHz frequency range. I have no way of testing this but, for my use, having my personal cards protected from scanners is sufficient for my needs. Other than the RFID blocking, the wallet is well made and of good quality. It’s an easy item to recommend.
